Support your
Community Theatre
There are
many ways to support your community theatre:
attending productions, volunteering, donating
props, set items, costumes, supplies (paint,
lumber, etc.), and, of course, donating money.
Many people
do not know that ticket sales account for less
than 50% of our revenue. We depend on our donors
for our quality productions.
You can be
sure that an investment in your community theatre
is an investment in success. The Community Theatre
is a 501(c)(3), so your donations are tax deductible.
Ways to Support
Season Tickets with Patron Donations are monetary donations made in addition to your
purchase of season tickets. Patron donation
income goes into the general operating fund.
On all contributions over the regular subscription
price, you are entitled to a federal income
tax deduction. Your name will be printed in
each of our mainstage programs as our way of
saying "Thank You" for your extra
support!

Our Wish List is composed of items
that we need (see right column "list of
needs"). Our friends show their generosity
and support by sending in donations toward the
purchase of some of the items (or in some cases
donating the item itself).
Patron and Project Donations are occassionally
asked for, with the donation going to a specific
project such as travel to a regional, national
or international festival or for new seating,
or most recently, the renovation of our lobby.
General Patron Donations can be specified for:
- Operating Expenses
- Building Fund
- Production Expenses - Community Theatre
Programming
- Production Expenses - Crimson Creek Programming
- Children's Programming
- Specifically Underwrite a Production (amount
varies)
The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre
Fund is an endowment fund set up to provide
for our future. This is money that is set aside
to grow and provide an ever increasing source
of interest/dividend income. The Fund was originally
set up as a behest from the William Guard Family.

Planned
Giving: The Thespis Club
The
Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre has established
The Thespis Club as a way to honor those who
have included GGFCT in their wills and estate
planning, named after Thespis of Icaria (6th
century BC) who is claimed to be the first person
ever to appear on stage as an actor in a play,
and is said to have introduced the first actor
in addition to the chorus
The
Wings Society will help the theatre prepare
for a strong future. By continuing to support
your Community Theatre through planned giving,
members also acknowledge that their theatre
offers more than entertainment.
The
Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre is a place
where people seek self-expression, receive acknowledgement
for their talents, and discover new purpose
in their lives.
Gifts from The Thespis Club will continue to
enhance your theatre, as well as the many volunteers
who give their time and talents. Members will
be acknowledged in our programs and newsletters.
If you have already included GGFCT in your will
or estate planning and would like to be acknowledged,
please contact us.
If you would like to include GGFCT in your will,
you can have a simple will or trust drawn up
at no charge. |
